I wrote this sort of as a twisted fairytale type thing... Anyway, I'd love some feedback!


Poor little damsel
Locked inside her tower
Alone she sings a twisted song
Spinning around in circles

Silly little boy
Doesn’t seem to get it
Missing the one he thought he knew
Looking up to barred windows

You’re no knight, stable boy
And so she laughs: goodbye, goodbye

What are you doing?
Boy with withered flowers
There’s no spell to break with a kiss
No ladder of golden hair

You’re no knight, stable boy
And so she laughs: goodbye, goodbye

Did you know she put herself there?
No wizard or dragon,
These chains are her own
And though she might come down in time
It won’t be to look for you

Try to save her, stable boy

But you’re still no knight, stable boy
And so she laughs: goodbye
But you’re still no knight, stable boy
And so she’ll cry: goodbye
